Activate Follow Me to redirect call to Cell Phone

Hi everyone,

First of all, I have to say that you have convince me to switch from Trixbox to Elastix by the great solution that this community have build. I have my firt complete installaton up and running that was not the smallest one I think (Elastix talking to Avaya trought Internet with H.323 trunk...), minor issues but it is working quite well. We will get to 100% bullet proof solution for sure!

I have one situation that I need to get to work is the follow me feature. I am trying to get the call transfer to a cellular phone in that following order but it never reach the Cellular phone:

ring extension 1410
ring Cellular phone
no answer go to vm.

I am able to call de cellular phone, if I configure a ring group and place that cellular phone in it, and dial that group, it works also but can't get the follow me working. It always end in the voicemail of the extension 1410. Any clue?

I don't really understand, but to get Follow Me working, you need to input your cell phone number and put a # at the end. Make sure you are putting the full 11 digit number (if you are in USA).
What version of FreePBX are you using?

Also make sure the ring strategy is 'ringall'

Provided there is a # at the end, I would double-check your outbound routes and make sure its happy there also :)

How did you get Elastix to work with Avaya H323. I did it using Asterisk, I am trying with Elastix, but after the compilation I loose the seting and Elastix give the the error that it cannot find the asterisk.ctl file.

What do you have your destination if no answer set to. Also if you are going to have your vm go to your cell, maybe disabling the vm for that extension may simplify things.

Hi 2 all, if anyone is still struggling getting the "Follow Me" working with Elastix when the operator does not allow forwarding calls with land line CID (that is not any of your DID), there is an option Elastix 2.0 provides when setting the "Follow Me".
Fill the "Follow me list" with extensions, land line or mobile phone numbers(don't forget to put the "#"), than under "Change External CID Configuration" and just pick up an option that feet's your needs, ex. "Outside Calls Fixed CID" and just enter one of your provided DID's.
This way the CID will get overridden and your mobile phone will ring showing on screen the DID.

Hello karma,

i had done setting as per your suggestion but it does not work ..calls cannot divert on cellphone from the given extension or DID.also tell me what should we configure on last option in

Actually i have a working Elastix 1.6 with this...

Let me guess if what you are looking is that call rings on both (extension and cellphone) or just want to get the call diverted...

is not a beeg deal because Call Forward fuesture is working fine...

Using *72 or *52 codes is working fine...

I can make the call forward using a Quescom gateway (As a SIP trunk)and also throught a SIP trunk from a provider...
